Word for Word: Stories by Emma Donoghue and Colm Tóibín

An exciting and invigorating time awaits you as Word for Word takes stories from two award-winning contemporary Irish writers, Emma Donoghue (Room) and Colm Tóibín (Brooklyn), and transforms them into fully staged stimulating pieces of theatre. Night Vision, by Emma Donoghue, tells a tale from the early life of renowned poet Frances Browne, told from the unique and moving perspective of a nine year old blind girl. In Silence, Colm Tóibín takes on the complicated and fascinating life of Lady Gregory, Victorian woman of letters, co-founder of the Abbey Theatre, and friend to such lights as Henry James. Done in Word for Word's inimitable style - with 100% of the story text intact - the show runs February 24th through April 3rd at Z Below, 470 Florida Street, San Francisco 94110, and then heads to France for a three week tour!

The Cast includes: Richard Farrell, Rudy Guerrero, Rosie Hallett, Stephanie Hunt, Patty Silver, and, naturally, yours truly, Robert Sicular. Night Vision is directed by Becca Wolff; Silence by Jim Cave.
